This is one of the most interesting and fabulous vintage pieces I’ve ever found. Highly collectible. The best part? He’s darling AND life size. Bernese Mountain Dog.
Most of these vintage ceramic dogs were made in Italy during the ‘60s & 70s. Good vintage condition— normal wear commensurate with age. He’s got some crazing which is to be expected, but nothing major. There isn’t another available one I can find on the internets, but other similar dogs though different breeds go for over $1200-$1500.
